Emma has nearly 20 years of experience in writing and editing, and 1,000+ bylines covering topics including sustainability, travel, wellness, and social justice. She was formerly a Senior Editor at Mic and a Contributing Editor at Teen Vogue, with more work appearing in CNN, New York Magazine, Refinery 29, Cosmopolitan, Allure, WIRED, and Men’s Health, among others.
As a self-taught artist, Emma has designed, painted, and worked on indoor and outdoor murals throughout Chicago; and she’s created illustrations including custom portraits, lettering, and more.
Emma skills also include audio and video editing, voiceover and audiobook narrating, project management, photography, and Spanish language proficiency.
Before returning to her native Chicago, Emma lived in London, UK, and New York City, and she remains passionate about exploring the world. She’s an enthusiastic advocate of adult hobbies — hers include sewing and upcycling, scuba diving, and music classes.
